系主任有約乃觀光系每年至少一場的例行活動。經由與學生2.5小時的聚會，佈達學校及科系的重要訊息。同時聽取學生於課堂學習、校園生活、課外活動及個人狀況等各個面向的分享及想法。更重要的，是聆聽學生提出的問題，盡可能以最有效率的方式提供解決之道。因學生於大三或大四必須出國就讀一年，多數學生對於此項設計雖深感興趣，但從自己的就讀準備及學校方案選擇等各方面，常常會有不少疑問。故藉此機會，除與學生連繫感情，提供支援外，亦希望能為其釋疑。

“Meeting with the department chair” is an annual routine activity in the ITM. During a 2.5-hour gathering with the students, important messages from the school and department are conveyed. Simultaneously, the students share their thoughts and experiences in various aspects, such as classroom learning, campus life, extracurricular activities, and personal circumstances. What's more crucial is listening to the questions raised by the students and offering solutions as efficiently as possible. Since all students are required to study abroad for a year in their third or fourth year, they are often curious about various aspects, such as how to prepare themselves and the school's program selections. Therefore, through this opportunity, apart from building a connection with the students and providing support, the aim is to address their doubts.
