Authenticity，是存在主義哲學中的術語，指人在外界的壓力和干擾下，忠於自己的個性、精神和品格的特質。在這個網路發達的時代，資訊傳播十分快速，我們每天都會接收到涵蓋多個領域的訊息，卻也使得資訊取得容易過度傳遞與扭曲，使人們看待事情的層面複雜許多。因此，青年所具備的獨立思考能力，以及辨別資訊真偽的能力，在這世代更顯重要。

活動目的: 藉由本系與系學會平台，邀請彭莉惠博士與大家討論相關議題，包括當代青年需要具備什麼、關注到什麼，如何盡自己的一份力建設地方等。並以適當的互動來刺激觀眾思考，讓好想法、好觀點能傳遞給更多人知曉。我們期待藉由彭博士對教育與未來學的多年觀察，與她實際參與選舉的經驗，學習到更多。也因此能更理解我們身處的現況。

Authenticity is a term in existential philosophy, which refers to the traits that people are loyal to their own personality, spirit and character under the pressure and interference of the outside world. In the Internet age, information dissemination is very fast. We receive information covering multiple fields every day, but it also makes it easy for information to be over-transmitted and distorted, making people look at things much more complicated. Therefore, the ability of independent thinking possessed by young people and the ability to determine the authenticity of information would be even more important in this generation.

Purpose of the activity: Through the platform of the Department of Global Politics and Economic and the student association of the Department, we invite Dr. Peng, Li-Hui to have a discussion with our students on several issues, such as “what contemporary youth need to have”, “what they concern about”, and “how to devote themselves to promote development of Tamsui”. The audience will be stimulated to think more through the interaction with the lecturer, and good ideas and opinions can be passed on to more people. We look forward to learning from the lecturer’s observations on education, future studies and the experience of participating in the local election. Thus, everyone can better understand our current situation.
