電影《以你的名字呼喚我》

"Call Me By Your Name."

First published in 2007 by André Aciman (Professor, Graduate Center, City University of New York), it has recently gained popularity due to the release of the film of the same name. Few movies can match literature, but in this case, novels and films are legends. Novels and films are complementary and independent of each other, yet intertwined, providing each other with insights and emotions without hindering either.

The novel is a Proustian romance about the reminiscences of its protagonist, Elio, and it unabashedly tells the story of Elio's first love during an Italian summer 20 years ago. André Aciman takes the reader into the tender, emotional realm of awakening as a man struggles with identity, desire, love, and loathing.

After watching the film, there will be a post-screening discussion, allowing participants to share their feelings about the movie, hoping to feel the awakening of romance through such artistic appreciation, and to talk about the awakening extensively so that the participants can grow and better understand the world.
